Exploring the 3D World of FriendsHangout.com
The 3D chat room of
FriendsHangout.com is a place where friends can interact with each other and meet new friends as well. One great thing about the chat room is the ease of navigation within various environments and how one can easily manoeuvre themselves in these environments and find a means of transportation best suited to that terrain or world. There are a number of scenes in the initial version of FriendsHangout.com, there are plans to introduce more worlds and scenarios but for now the wealth of these scenes and the complexity behind what they offer should suffice even for the most demanding of users.
For starters, we start with the island scene. This scene is replete with anything you would want to find on an island of choice, if you were to choose getting lost on any island this would be the one. From coconut trees to bamboo bars, it has it all. You can choose to do different things here such as play beach ball, listen to music, dance or jump ramps. The preferred mode of transportation here is by Jet Ski, that's if you want to tour the ocean, otherwise you can as well use your two feet and scour the island for treasure. Good luck finding any though!
For those into the scary, there's the Haunted Mansion which is as complete a set as you would get in any true house of horror. It's really chilly here but if you want to hang out with ghosts and ghouls and walk through a cemetery replete with zombies and all, you're welcome. The scene doesn't leave out the fog and general sense of gloom that pervades the atmosphere. Preferred mode of transportation other than your own two feet? What else but a witches broom?
People who got excited about futuristic movies like Minority Report, I-Robot and all, will have their own haven in FriendsHangout.com; it's a future city and if you've watched Blade Runner, you'll get the general idea about the sort of world available here. You can walk or use hover crafts if you wish.
Mythology is always a strong subject when it comes to virtual worlds; ask those who play MMORPG games. FriendsHangout doesn't disappoint with the usual mythological selection of dragons and castles. The means of transportation is on the back of a dragon and if its flying you want, you'll experience it from the clouds to kingdoms below.
Of course there are a number of other scenes as well, depending on what in particular catches your fancy, it's all left for you to go and explore. After all, it's all free. You can enjoy other scenes and worlds such as the magic café, where they play magic videos on screen and do all sorts of trickery and fortune-telling.
If the island scene didn't satisfy your appetite for treasure, there's always the pirate ship complete with hang gliding, treasure hunting and a number of hidden caves to explore.
Wild wild west enthusiasts have a scene that does justice to the term. You'll find it in prime condition like a town ready for a visit from anthropologists with tumble weeds and horse rides.
The Spacestation scene allows you to see other ships passing by, view the planets and do stuff like beam over to other stations or take the "old" fashioned route by taking the tram in a glass tube enclosure. Hey, you can also fly ships here and vent your shooting anger at asteroids.
The city scene is a little back to earth with disco scenes, disco balls and a chance to ride that very expensive yet intriguing vehicle, the Segway scooter.
All in all,
FriendsHangout.com seems to deliever on every level, a must see for anyone looking to have fun on the web!
